Inspired by the delicate wagashi (traditional Japanese sweets) enjoyed in early spring, this charming hand towel features a playful scattering of colourful seasonal treats.
Made from traditional Kaya weave, a Japanese textile craft with roots dating back to before the Nara period, the fabric was originally used for mosquito nets. Its loosely woven structure allows air to pass through while keeping insects out.
This towel is made by stitching together five layers of soft cotton Kaya fabric. With every wash and use, the fabric becomes softer and more absorbent, while remaining durable enough for everyday use.
