This charming Kaya weave cloth depicts Mount Fuji, Japan’s iconic highest mountain. When folded, the cloth takes the shape of Fuji itself, with the white sections representing its snow-capped peak and drifting clouds—a simple yet delightful detail that makes it especially memorable.
Made from traditional Kaya weave, a Japanese textile craft with roots dating back to before the Nara period, the fabric was originally used for mosquito nets. Its loosely woven structure allows air to pass through while keeping insects out.
